🍪 Gingerbread Iced Tea Latte – A Cozy Cookie Hug in a Glass

There’s something magical about tea. It warms the soul, soothes the spirit, and if you ask me—makes a regular day feel just a little sweeter.

In honor of National Tea Day, I thought I’d share a new favorite drink recipe. It is perfect for this time of year. It’s cozy like your favorite blanket, but cool and refreshing like spring breezes through an open window.

Introducing the Gingerbread Iced Tea Latte—aka a cozy cookie hug in a cup.

☕ A Treat for Spring (That Still Feels Like Home)

This little creation came together on one of those days when I wanted something comforting, but not heavy. Something with spice, sweetness, and just the tiniest hint of mischief. I steeped a Ginger Snappish tea bag (you can use any gingerbread-flavored tea), added a splash of vanilla and some cinnamon, and poured it all over ice with some milk.

You guys, it tasted like I dipped a gingerbread cookie in a cloud.

Check out this short video where I made a version with what I had on hand, showing how versatile this recipe is. Shape it to suit your taste.

🐾 Should Max the Cat Get a Sip?

Every time I make something cozy in the kitchen, Max the Cat is up under my feet, staring, feeling very entitled to a taste. I told him this one is for humans only—but you know he tried to sneak a paw in the glass. Nice try, Max. (He still got a chin scratch and a cozy perch by the window.)

💛 A Note to My Tea-Loving Friends

If you give this recipe a try, let me know! I’d love to hear your twist—maybe a dollop of whipped cream? A sprinkle of nutmeg? Or your own made-up name for it?

And if you’re spending today with a warm mug, a cool glass, or just a moment of peace, know you’re in good company. From my little tea corner in Northern Maine—Happy National Tea Day to you!

Until next time, Love, Mrs. G (and Max too, begrudgingly 🐾)

  1. Your gingerbread iced tea sounds like the perfect cozy treat! I love how you balanced the comforting spices with a light, refreshing twist. The hint of vanilla and cinnamon must make it smell absolutely amazing. It’s such a creative way to enjoy tea beyond the usual hot cup.
Would using almond milk instead of regular milk change the flavor too much?
