Tommy the Turkey

Once upon a time, in a cozy little farm, a boy named Sammy found a small turkey wandering near the barn. The turkey was tiny and had soft, fluffy feathers. Sammy decided to name him Tommy.

Sammy loved animals, and when Tommy wobbled over to him, he knew they’d be best friends. He asked his parents if he could keep Tommy as a pet, and they said, “As long as you take care of him!”

From that day on, Sammy and Tommy did everything together. Sammy built Tommy a little house out of wood and hay. Every morning, Tommy would gobble excitedly when Sammy brought him corn to eat. “Good morning, Tommy!” Sammy would laugh.

One sunny day, Sammy decided to teach Tommy some tricks. He held out a small piece of bread and said, “Tommy, jump!” To Sammy’s surprise, Tommy flapped his wings and hopped up. Sammy cheered, “You’re the smartest turkey ever!”

Tommy loved following Sammy around the farm. When Sammy rode his bike, Tommy waddled after him. When Sammy played with his toy cars, Tommy sat beside him, watching curiously. And when Sammy read books under the big oak tree, Tommy would snuggle next to him and close his eyes.

As the seasons changed, Sammy and Tommy explored the farm together. In the summer, they splashed in puddles after rainstorms. In the fall, they played in piles of crunchy leaves. And when winter came, Sammy knitted a tiny scarf for Tommy to keep him warm.

Sammy loved telling his friends about his turkey pal. “Tommy isn’t just a pet,” Sammy would say. “He’s my best friend!”

Tommy may have been a turkey, but to Sammy, he was family. Together, they learned that love and friendship make every day a little brighter.

And from then on, Sammy and Tommy shared sweet, happy times—gobbling and giggling through every season.

The end. 🦃❤️
