1. Set a Schedule

Establish a laundry day (or days) that work with your routine. Whether it’s one big laundry day or smaller loads throughout the week, consistency helps keep the pile from getting overwhelming. Tackling a load first thing in the morning gets me in the groove for the day!

2. Sort as You Go

To make things easier, have separate hampers or bins for light, dark, delicates, and towels. That way, the sorting is already done when laundry day rolls around. It’s a simple step that saves time and makes the process smoother.

3. Use Timers or Reminders

Remember the load in the washer? 😅 Set a timer, use phone reminders to switch loads from the washer to the dryer, or hang clothes to dry. It helps keep things moving and avoids that dreaded musty smell from forgotten laundry. My Machine is connected to my phone but I forgot to turn the app on.

4. Fold Right Away

I know it’s tempting to let clean laundry sit in a basket, but folding right away saves you from the pile-up. I try to fold clothes as soon as they’re out of the dryer—maybe even while watching a show or listening to a podcast. It makes it feel less like a chore!

5. Get the Family Involved

If possible, make laundry a family effort! Even young kids can help by sorting socks or folding towels. It’s a great way to lighten the load (literally) and teach responsibility at the same time.

Following these simple tips can make laundry day feel way more manageable and less of a hassle.
